I do love photographing weddings at The Queens Hotel. A venue soaked in history and such wonderful staff that helped the day run so beautifully smoothly, it really is a wonderful setting to celebrate a wedding.
Building up to the wedding, Gemma & Scott (particularly Gemma) were meticulous with the way they planned their special day because they wanted to have the best day possible. We made sure to fit in the venues that the couple wanted to use for their wedding photographs (One of these was the beautiful Old Garrison Church in Old Portsmouth) and also allowing extra time in their schedule to accommodate the couples horse and carriage ride around old Portsmouth, something I know meant a lot to the couple. There was no pressure with the weather as the forecasted rain never materialised and we were even treated to some gorgeous light later in the day. The speeches were full of emotion as each speaker presented their speech to perfection and had the guests hanging on every word.
Throughout the entire day Gemma & Scott were so much fun to be around and witnessing them become husband and wife was a true honour. There were so many beautiful moments that I barely put down my camera for the whole day.
I have thoroughly loved working with both Gemma & Scott and am so pleased that they got to enjoy the wonderful day they envisaged. Congratulations to you both on an absolute cracker of a wedding!!
