Abbey and Dave’s New Forest wedding at Rhinefield House Hotel in Brockenhurst was a truly beautiful occasion. It is always a joy to photograph weddings at Rhinefield House but on this September day there was definitely something special in the air.

When I arrived for the Bridal prep, Abbey had already got her hair started and was well underway to one of the biggest days of her life, a day that she will have dreamed about since she was about 5 years old playing dress up with her friends. She was an absolutely radiant Bride and with a buzz of the Bridesmaids around her, a smile never left her face.

After taking some natural documentary photographs of the Bridal Prep I went to look for Dave to get some photographs of him and his Groomsmen. Little did I know at this point that there had been a mix up with the hairspray and antiperspirant resulting in Dave having to completely redo his hair. Frustrating at the time, definitely, however it made for a fantastic story in his speech which produced a raucous response from Abbey and Dave’s guests during their wedding breakfast.

As Abbey walked down the aisle there was a soft rendition of Pacabel’s Canon in D playing in the background. Dave tells me he did not even notice it playing, all he could remember was seeing Abbey and how beautiful she looked walking toward him. Their ceremony was stunning, set within the grounds at Rhinefield House, and complimented with exquisite venue dressing by Lynda Robson of Exclusively Weddings. Lynda is, in my opinion, the best wedding florist at complimenting a venue with floral decorations. At this wedding she exceeded every expectation of the couple and really produced the WOW factor, something that she does at each and every wedding she is hired for.

The rest of the day rolled by very quickly with some beautiful photographs from their ‘time alone’ with me and also mingling with their guests. Their speeches were heartfelt and humorous with the Best Man delivering one of the best speeches I have heard – hilarious to say the least! A wedding that will live long in my memory and a day that the new Mr and Mrs Thorpe will surely never forget.
