I have attended many a Marquee wedding and it was a special pleasure to record S-J and David wedding story at their chosen venue in Winchester.
I first met S-J and David following a recommendation from Brides of Winchester where S-J purchased her wedding dress. I offer a £100 discount if the Brides wedding dress is purchased at this boutique and although this is an incentive to book to save money I always make sure that Brides love my work rather than just the discount I offer.
The marquee was set overlooking the beautiful Winchester countryside and one of the manor houses within the area, providing a wonderful historic backdrop. S-J looked stunning in her gorgeous wedding dress and some of the very special vintage touches the couple chose lit up the marquee with some wonderful wedding ideas throughout the wedding breakfast.
Wild flowers adorned jugs, period bunting strung from the ceilings, vintage suitcases to leave presents in all added to the rustic chic wedding theme. A further sense of history with a vintage veil from the 1800’s that was the Groom’s great, great grandmothers on her wedding day – a truly stunning piece.
I was able to capture some amazing photographs at the castle ruins on Hursley Farm estate which is where the couple live, using the long grasses and thistles to add a beautifully soft and natural blur to the photographs; a true reflection of the S-J and David’s loving charm.
Cracking speeches from every body with the Bride reading a beautiful section from AA Milne’s Winnie the Pooh, fun and laughter abound. A final stunning sunset over the Winchester countryside produced some wonderful moments and the perfect backdrop for the couples photographs.
The very special, personal images below capture S-J and David’s wedding journey…
