I was delighted to photograph Katherine and David’s Rhinefield House wedding in September of this year. A day full of happiness and laughter provided the perfect atmosphere for what was to be a stunning wedding day at this highly sought after New Forest wedding venue. I was introduced to Katherine and David via a personal recommendation from the venue, something that as a preferred photographer for Rhinefield House, I am very fortunate to say, happens quite a bit. Katherine and David’s beautifully kind personalities make you so happy to be in their presence and you can tell they were made for one another. I could not be happier for them and I know they will have a very happy future together.

Their wedding day started with the Bridal preparations at Rhinefield House in the Munroe Suite. There was a lovely moment as Katherine opened a gift from David to see that it was a personalised storybook of their time together as a couple. Needless to say there were a few tears as this present was opened and the emotion captured a sense of tenderness that was to carry on throughout the day.

The rest of the Bridal preparations produced some lovely images and before long it was time for me to meet the boys for their formal photographs. I tend to do this before the ceremony so the couple can have more time with their guests during the reception drinks and I can achieve more documentary photographs, which are trademarks to the style of my photography.

The ceremony produced some wonderful moments between the couple and as they turned to say their ‘I do’s’ Katherine took a moment to compose herself before agreeing to marry her Groom in the wonderful setting of the Grand Hall.

Straight after the ceremony I took David and Katherine to the front of the venue to allow their guests to be escorted to the drinks reception by the Rhinefield staff. This time was blessed by the sun just peaking above the roof top which enabled me to achieve a little bit of artistic flare for the couple’s photographs.

The group photographs followed and with that the confetti shot; a quite remarkable image as the new ‘Mr and Mrs’ walked between their guests throwing confetti with the wonderful grounds at Rhinefield as the perfect backdrop.

Their time alone was mostly spent walking around the beautiful grounds but as the sun poked through a dark grey cloud I just asked the couple to share a kiss and the resulting image below appeared on the back of my camera – a thrilling, wonderful moment.

My stand out image from the day has to be in the avenue of trees. I used the veil to create a frame for the photograph working beautifully alongside the spectacular backlight illuminating the couple – simply stunning.

Photographing a lot of weddings I do tend to come across very similar favours for guests and so it was lovely to see something completely different when photographing the Wedding breakfast details. Katherine and David had opted to have a set of personalised Top trumps for the wedding day and each table had a pack to play with during the wedding breakfast. Each guests had there own card and the attributes were so beautifully thought up as you will see below.

The evening ran beautifully with the couple’s first dance being watched in amazement by their guests.  There was also a wonderful dance between Katherine and her father during which he beamed throughout so evidently happy and having the time of his life.

As I left this wonderful Rhinefield House wedding I thought how much I enjoyed spending my time here and what an incredible day was had by all.
