A little catching up to do on the blog over the next couple of weeks as my full wedding season starts back up again tomorrow. I have so much gorgeous New Forest wedding photography hidden away on the hard drive that I thought it was about time to get it out online for all to see. First up is the epic, amazing, and down right stunning wedding of Carly and John Holman at Rhinefield House in the New Forest from July last year.

Carly and John, what can I say… Your wedding was, well…. EPIC of the grandest proportions!!! I have photographed many a New Forest wedding at the stunning Rhinefield House ( 44 in the last 18 months alone) but this one stands out not only because I know John from working alongside him at various weddings, John is an awesome DJ and you can check out his website here – http://www.djjohnholman.co.uk, but also because I knew from the first consultation that their vision would make for something spectacular. Or rather Carly’s vision – sorry John 😉

When I arrived at the venue the sun shone and we were all set for the couples outside ceremony within the luscious grounds at Rhinefield House however the Great British weather had other plans and with only 5 minutes before Carly was going to be walking down the aisle it quite literally emptied from the sky and the registrars moved everybody indoors. All of the guests made there way, pretty quickly, to the Grand Hall and within moments Carly made her entrance, and what an entrance. She brought a tear to John’s eye as she was escorted down the aisle by her son Lleyton and you could see all around the room that the guests were taken aback at the wonderful scene happening before their very eyes. One of my favourite moments from the ceremony was as Carly was given away by her young son, Lleyton, and she needed a tissue to keep back the tears.

The reception drinks flowed with spouts of showers but we were able to get about 30 minutes within the grounds to capture some wonderful photographs for the happy couple.

In terms of photography I always want to exceed my couples expectations and for this couple the expectation were set pretty high as John knew all too well what I achieve for my couples. I wanted to save my best shot for last and that was their night time photo. A little idea I had whilst surfing through the endless night photography that has now become the norm within the industry but I wanted to bring the New Forest into their photograph and hopefully I did that with a fairytale shot worthy of Carly and John’s wedding day.

As you will see from the photographs below the weather did play it’s part but in my experience it matters very little when all you want to do is get married to the one you love and celebrate with your friends and family.

This is Carly and John’s story from their EPIC Rhinefield House wedding and it was such an honour to be a part of. I’ve met a lot of couples whilst doing this job over the last 5 years and I can say quite honestly that I know they will without doubt live happily ever after. Enjoy 🙂
