Both Helen and Alex had there wedding ceremony in the gorgeous Grand Hall at Rhinefield House. A quite exquisite room with gorgeous wood panelling and a very grand fireplace. Due to the Traditional Chinese tea ceremony taking place during their drinks reception the format of the day was a little different than normal with more allowance for dress changes and also a 4 hour drinks reception. I loved this aspect because so often this time goes by in a flash for couples and they barely get to see their guests. This was not the case for Helen and Alex as they got to socialise and take in this very special time during the day.
When photographing the couple within the grounds at Rhinefield House I wanted to include a lot of the gorgeous golden colours at this time of year (late October) and although the weather was very overcast the exceptional grounds within this stunning venue really supplied the perfect framework for the couples personal photographs.
Helen and Alex’s traditional Chinese tea ceremony in the New Forest took place in the Kings Room at Rhinefield House during their reception drinks. Helen had changed into a gorgeous traditional Chinese red wedding dress and she looked simply stunning. During the tea ceremony each relative was invited to come up to the newly married couple and sip some tea with them to wish them health and prosperity. I found this very heart warming and was able to capture some wonderful photographs for the couple.
The rest of the day flew by and with some amazing photographs from the speeches coupled with a cracking night time shot I left feeling elated and full of life, ready for my next wedding – the very next day at the same venue.
I hope you love the photographs from Helen and Alex’s Rhinefield House wedding and if you are planning to have a traditional Chinese tea ceremony for your wedding day please feel free to check on my availability via my contact page.
