1 pretty awesome slideshow to summarise it all
I love this time of year when I get to reflect on all of the work that I have carried out over the last 12 months. Sometimes things happen so quickly that I don’t fully appreciate how well things have gone until I sit down for my annual review.
I have been fortunate to have photographed weddings at some of the most beautiful venues in the country, worked alongside some insanely talented suppliers and been a part of some incredible weddings producing some of the best wedding photography 2017 has to offer. Picking up The Wedding Industry Awards Best UK Wedding Photographer for the South Central region capped a truly remarkable year for me but it would be remiss of me not to thank the people that have made 2017 so incredible.
To the wedding suppliers I have worked alongside for making my photographs look so much better. Thank you. To the amazing venues I have worked at, it has been a pleasure to work with you and your help at weddings is always much appreciated. Thank you. Most importantly there are people who put their trust in you as a wedding photographer and believe that you are the one to make their whole day look amazing. To capture moments of their wedding day which bring back the emotions they felt in an instant. To my couples from 2017, you are incredible people and I cannot thank you enough for the trust you bestowed in me. It has been a pleasure to work with you and document your story. Thank you.
Without a shadow of a doubt there is one person who has kept me sane in some of the most challenging and chaotic periods this year and that is my incredible wife – Christie. Thank you for the endless support and belief in me. You are truly amazing and I am so thankful that you are in my life. You are a shining light who encourages me to pursue my dreams and for that I will be forever thankful.
It is always very difficult to choose the selection of photographs to accompany my ‘best of…’ blog posts but this year it has been especially tough. Cutting down the thousands of images into just a small selection of 140+ is a challenge to say the least but it is something that I thoroughly love. Below is my choice of the best wedding photography of 2017 and I hope you love it.
So what for 2018?? So far I have 30 weddings booked with my diary almost full – amazing! The TWIA national finals are in January and I am thoroughly looking forward to meeting some of the best suppliers in the wedding industry. I will also be taking on a few courses to bring a different, more creative, element to my photography for which I am extremely excited about.
2017, you have been awesome and a year I will never forget. Here’s to 2018 and being even bigger and better than this year.
Merry Christmas everyone and a very Happy New Year!
