A Summer wedding at Lancing College Chapel & Pangdean Old Barn

What a truly remarkable occasion this was to be a part of. Rachael & Philip thought of everything to make sure that their guests had the most wonderful time on their wedding day. The wedding was split into two sections, the first being the ceremony taking place at the remarkable Lancing College Chapel with the reception then being held at Pangdean Old Barn, a short drive down the road. Both are stunning venues but it was the grandeur of Lancing College Chapel that really took my breath away.

With Rachael being a professional Opera singer and Philip having a wonderful singing voice of his own it was no wonder that the ceremony revolved around music. The choir, who were absolutely amazing, carried out their part to a tee and there was even time for both Rachael & Philip to perform a solo each during the ceremony. The acoustics in the chapel were world class and as soon as the choir hit their first chord, the little glance between Rachael & Philip said it all – the phrase  ‘we’ve nailed it’ sprang to mind.

With the formalities coming to a close after the ceremony it was time for the couple to greet their guests and they did it in style. An abundance of confetti being thrown as they walked away from the Cloisters and into their first drinks reception of the day. Before heading to Pangden I captured a few photographs of Rachael & Philip in the stunning Cloisters and also outside the Chapel to showcase this very special time on their wedding day. With Philip being a graduate from the college I know this venue meant an awful lot to him and his family.

In the evening the sparkler line led into a quite beautifully choreographed first dance which was performed perfectly by Rachael & Philip.

As I packed up my equipment I couldn’t help but think what a truly wonderful wedding this had been and felt so privileged to have been able to tell the story of Rachael & Philip’s Lancing College Chapel wedding.
