This was my first time photographing a Beaulieu Domus wedding and I had an absolute blast. The grounds are stunning for photography and with the light we had on the day it made for the perfect setting for this couples wedding. Enter Lizzy and Andy, two thoroughly wonderful people who are just meant to be together. Their easy going personalities just bounce off one another and made my job of capturing their wedding day so very easy.
After the Bridal preparations at Lizzy and Andy’s home I headed over to Romsey Abbey for the ceremony. A very grand setting and it’s one of the most beautiful abbey’s I have had the pleasure to photograph in. When I arrived however it was not as I had expected as a car had driven into a parked car and there was an ambulance seeing to the driver. Not the best start to the wedding day but luckily Andy was on hand to help with medical advice, I am sure not what he had planned to do on the morning of his wedding day but that is the kindness of the man, always happy to help where it is needed.
From the moment the gorgeous wedding car pulled up Lizzy had tears rolling down her cheeks. I have no doubt that this was the realisation that quite a poignant moment in her life awaited her inside the next set of doors she was about to enter. Andy wiping away a tear from Lizzy’s cheek during one of the readings and the vicar giving a thumbs up to the congregation are just a couple of the many incredible moments that flowed throughout the ceremony.
A mini receiving line proceeded the ceremony and before long we were heading to the stunning Beaulieu Domus for the couples reception. After enjoying a few drinks with the guests I whisked them into the grounds for some photographs before heading in to their wedding breakfast with their guests.
A little surprise was in order for the evening and that was for one of the Groomsmen to produce a juggling display which was absolutely amazing!!
Before long the sun was setting on this Beaulieu Domus wedding and I couldn’t help but think what a magical day it had been. Hopefully there will be many more days like this in my life, it was pretty damn awesome!
A huge congratulations to Andy and Lizzy and thank you so much for allowing to tell your beautiful story. Enjoy 🙂
