Dance is such a visual art form and prospective employers such as a west end musical or ballet company, like the Royal Ballet, will be very quick to judge whether you are good enough or not from the photographs you send to them with your CV. As a professional dance photographer and being an ex professional dancer myself, I understand the importance of the audition process and how to stand out. I work with you to achieve photographs that will help you to be noticed ahead of the other auditionee’s. It is so crucial to get this right as directors and producers are extremely busy people and so if the photograph doesn’t strike them, then they will probably just put it on the ‘no’ pile straight away.

Below are a selection of my favourite images of a few of the clients I have worked with this year. They have been wonderfully talented young dancers and I have been able to work closely with them to help them achieve their dream.

First is a young girl from White Lodge, studying in her final year and the photo shoot took place in her home town of Rovigo, Italy. It was a pleasure to work with her and her family and we achieved some amazing dance photographs for her.

Second is the lovely Isabelle Ayers from Manchester. She is auditioning for neo classical companies is a very talented young british dancer. I expect to see great things from her in the future

Lastly there is Natalie Carter from the Bolshoi Academy, Russia. She is of an exceptionally high standard and has her sights set on my old company, Northern Ballet. She was closely followed by the BBC and is the only British girl in history to complete the Bolshoi Academy’s rigorous, 4 year training programme.

It was a pleasure to work with all of my clients but these three stand out for me as we achieved some really great things (and had a lot of fun along the way!!). I wish all of my clients all of the luck in the world and I hope you keep in contact with me and let me know how you are getting on.
