Hello all my dance lovers!! It’s been a little while since I have posted anything dance related as my wedding season has dominated my workload recently however I’m sure you are going to love this one!
Back in April this year I had the privilege to be commissioned once again by the wonderful Northern Ballet for some commercial photography. These commercial photographs, a small selection found below, were designed to help promote their first tour to Southampton. The two photo shoot’s were a great success and really enabled the company to drive new audiences to the Mayflower for their performances this year.
The two photo shoot’s took place at the historic Bargate and Southampton Arts Gallery respectively and were based around Northern Ballet’s superb production of A Midsummer Nights Dream. This production has turned out to be iconic for Northern Ballet and rightly so. David Nixon, the companies Artistic Director, has created a masterpiece and his choreography is something to be admired. His comic timing between the lovers is exquisite and the love pas de deux between Oberon and Titania is just a delight to watch.
Although this production has now moved on to other venues the next ballet – Wuthering Heights – will be gracing the stage of the Mayflower between 22nd and 25th April next year and in my opinion it is one of the companies best productions. Based on the wonderful novel by Emily Bronte and with music by Claude-Michelle Schoneberg (the amazing composer of Miss Saigon and Les Miserables) audiences are sure to love it just as much as I do.
Thank you very much for reading and I hope you enjoy the small selection of the many dance photographs that we achieved.
