The Elvetham Weddings
Zoe & Hadley’s military wedding at the Elvetham in Hampshire
Oh I do love a military wedding and when you couple that with a stunning venue like The Elvetham you know you are in for a very special day. We were forescast weather that every couple dreads – torrential rain and over 50 mph winds. The rain never materialised and this turned out to be one of my favourite weddings from my 2019 season so far.
Zoe and Hadley are two wonderful, caring people who are so clearly made for one another. The love between them was there for all to see and you could tell that this was not just a day to celebrate their wedding but the start of their marriage together.
One of my favourite moments at every wedding is when the Bride’s father sees his little girl for the first time. Zoe stood waiting as her father and as the door creaked open both of them burst into tears as their eyes met. Such a wonderful moment to witness.
With the wind howling throughout the grounds I decided to do the majority of the group photographs at the front of the venue to get a little shelter from the wind, which worked perfectly. The couple enjoyed every single moment of their wedding day and I could tell just how much everybody that was there meant to them. They laughed, drank and then laughed some more as this very special day whizzed by in a flash.
Before I knew it the time was upon us for the couples nighttime portraits and this was a very important part for Zoe and Hadley. They wanted to get that little bit of extra ‘wow factor’ to finish off their wedding photographs and the stormy sky produced the perfect setting.
Here are just a few of my favourites from Zoe & Hadley’s beautiful Elvetham military wedding.
