Summer weddings at Lainston House

Marcus & Michelle’s Lainston House summer wedding was such a pleasure to witness as friends and family from around the country gathered to celebrate the marriage of these two beautiful souls. The couple thought of some beautiful ideas for their special day with activity packs for the children and a selfie booth for the evening party.

Lainston House is such a beautiful Winchester wedding venue which is set in the beautiful Hampshire countryside and really is the perfect setting for a wedding day. We were forecast blustery winds and rain but apart from a small shower shortly before the couples ceremony, the day was perfect. We were even treated to a stunning golden hour and so I whisked the couple into the Rose Garden for a few portraits at this time.

The day flew by so quickly and before I knew it we were on the dance floor for the couples first dance. Both Michelle and Marcus take Lindy Hop lessons and their first dance was choreographed to show their favourite past time. It was an amazing sight as Marcus twirled Michelle around the dance floor for all to see, each guest watching on in amazement.

The evening culminated in a full dance floor with every guest in rows strutting their moves to ‘The Macarena’. The smiles and joy within the Dawley Barn at this time summed up the atmosphere of the whole day perfectly.
