Wow, what a fabulous wedding this was and has started off my Summer of weddings in superb fashion!
The day started with the Bridal preparations where there was quite a scene as I entered the room. Olivia’s beautiful dress hanging in the bathroom with the train draped across an ironing table with Olivia’s mum ironing away. Precious moments to remember for Olivia, and mum, I am sure 🙂
The ceremony was set within the stunning grounds at Lainston House and it is a setting that works so beautifully for photography. The wedding ceremony produced some wonderful moments between the couple and a lovely walk through thrown confetti as the newlyweds exited their wedding ceremony was one of the highlights. Straight after the ceremony David and Olivia opted to spend some time alone together rather than see their guests and so I took them to the chapel ruins hidden within the grounds. I popped them in the perfect setting and let them spend some precious time together before capturing a few more structured portraits around the venue.
Soon we were heading back to their reception drinks where the couple were greeted with loud cheers by their wedding guests with their gorgeous little boy, Freddie, eagerly awaiting a cuddle from Mummy and Daddy. The drinks reception flew by and there were so many wonderful moments as the couples interacted with their guests.
The wedding breakfast was set in the Dawley Barn and was decorated so beautifully with candelabras, a cake of cheese, and candlelight amongst many other decorations. Keeping the atmosphere within the setting was key for Olivia’s vision of how she wanted the venue to look and I think it was achieved perfectly.
For the first dance I wanted to add a little ‘wow factor’ to the photographs and set up a couple of backlights. I asked David to simply lead Olivia into the middle of the floor and give her a little turn before starting the First dance. As you will see below I think it worked perfectly.
Before long it was time to pack away my cameras for another day but what a day it had been. Congratulations Olivia and David you absolutely nailed it and I wish you lots of happiness for the future.
Below is the Olivia and David’s photo film which was produced shortly after their special day and is the perfect way to tell the story of their gorgeous Lainston House wedding.
