In terms of wedding bucket lists photographing a St Pauls Cathedral wedding is right up there. Needless to say it is a massive understatement that I was ‘excited’ to be a part of Shelley and Ollie’s wedding there. What a day it was too, full of love and emotion, two things I love about photographing weddings.

The day started with some morning preparations at Carisbrooke Hall before a bus trip to St Pauls Cathedral. Ollie was visibly excited for what was to come and rightly so. The ceremony was incredible and even though I was restricted in the Crypt I was able to get a few key photos for the couple.

St Paul’s Cathedral is a thing of beauty and whilst tasking photos within the chapel after the wedding it seriously took my breath away. The grandeur of the main chapel coupled with the intimacy of the Crypt makes this the perfect ceremony venue.

After a few portraits in the gardens surrounding St Pauls Cathedral we headed to the reception. With Shelley and Ollie both being in the Navy, the wedding reception took place at Carisbrooke Hall in Marble Arch. The couple mingled with their guests and produced a set of speeches which were superb. The evening reception finished with a bang as Shelley and Ollie performed their choreographed first dance to raucous set of guests.
