Wow, opening my emails on Tuesday morning I did not expect to see this – ‘Congratulations you are a Wedding Industry Awards regional finalist for London and the South East’. Overwhelmed to say the least.

Becoming a regional finalist for The Wedding Industry Awards for the third year in a row is an incredible feat. Not only do you get this cool badge –

The Wedding Industry Awards regional finalist 2017 for London and the South East

but its also a seal of approval from the wedding industry as a whole. The first round of the awards, which has just been completed, is based solely on my clients feedback about the photography produced and the service they have received from me. Making sure my clients are happy, scratch that, overwhelmed by the service they have received is paramount to the way that I do business. With 90% of my work coming from personal recommendations I know that if I go the extra mile for my clients it will pay me back ten fold. A very wise person once said to me ‘under promise and over deliver’ and that, in a nutshell, is how I approach each and every piece of work that I undertake. My wonderful clients have evidently been so kind with their feedback to make sure that I was a finalist once again for this years TWIA London and the South East regional awards. I cannot thank them enough and I am so appreciative of them for taking the time to vote for me. A heart felt and honest thank you from a very humble wedding photographer.

The second round is based on the work that I have submitted which is being judged by some pretty awesome photographers quite possibly as I am writing this. One of them being someone I always look to for inspiration – Ross Harvey – and the others being a selection from the MV photographic and none other than the Chairman and founder of the TWIA awards himself – Damien Bailey. I have added the 10 photographs I have submitted below and I wanted to do something a little different this year. I have focused mainly on the documentary side of my work as that is the majority of the photography that I produce and really displays my style as a wedding photographer. I have also added a couple of the nighttime photographs that I have introduced into my coverage since July. To compliment the photography I have included one of my photofilms which were introduced this year and have really blown my clients and their families away receiving over 30,000 views on Facebook alone.

This coming Saturday brings my final wedding of 2016 and with it my 37th wedding since April 28th – just over 6 months!!!! That’s just under two every weekend – WOW! What an incredible year it has been and next year is looking to be even better too. 2017 will see me photographing at lots of new venues such as Lainston House, Foyle Park and Wotton House to name a few. I will also be making the trip back to Manor by the Lake in Cheltenham which I am extremely excited about.

Fingers crossed for Tuesday 22nd November when I will be attending the awards ceremony at The Barn at Bury Court but for now please enjoy the photographs below – there are some absolute crackers for you 🙂
