I always knew Annabelle and Jon’s Rhinefield House wedding was going to be special from the moment I met them at my studio in Fareham however I had no idea it was set to be one of the prettiest weddings I have seen at this incredible Hampshire wedding venue. From a stunningly beautiful wedding dress to lush pink and ivory wedding flowers – supplied by the incredible Exclusively Weddings – this Rhinefield House wedding had it all.
From Preston to Hong Kong and even Australia, guests travelled from all over the world to be a part of Annabelle and Jon’s special day. This for me just shows how much Annabelle and Jon mean to their guests and I am not surprised in the slightest. They are a wonderful couple and have been a pleasure to work with in the build up to and on the wedding day itself making my job as their wedding photographer ridiculously easy.
I arrived at Rhinefield House early to a light drizzle of rain however I knew the forecast was set to pick up nicely on this cold February morning. As a Hampshire wedding photographer I document a story on a wedding day as a guest would see it and for me that starts with some photographs of your surroundings on the day. I always photograph with a wedding album in mind and so use these first pictures to set the scene for the viewer. This was no different for Annabelle and Jon’s wedding day and Rhinefield House’s grandeur produced some incredible photographs as usual. From there I went up to the Bridal suite where Annabelle and her Bridesmaids were getting ready. I took photographs of the dress, flowers and shoes before documenting Annabelle having her hair and makeup done. The Walker Suite (Bridal suite) at Rhinefield House is stunning with a HUGE bed, roll top bath and views across the grounds. The light coming from the big bay window was beautiful on the day and produced some stunning photographs from the morning session.
Before long it was time to head down to Jon and the boys for some photographs and as I walked outside the rain had ceased meaning we could do their photographs in front of Rhinefield House. There were some lovely moments as the Groomsmen told stories from the Stag do to get Jon to laugh, a little trick I use to achieve the more natural smiles in group photographs. After this I dashed back upstairs for some photographs with the girls (a cracking iPhone selfie included) and then it was onto the serious business of the day. The ceremony produced some wonderful moments with Annabelle walking down the aisle alone to music played live by Jon’s brother on the keyboard. These moments coupled with the beautiful light coming into the Grand Hall produced some stunning photographs for the couple.
The rest of the day ran like clock work, thanks to the ever present Toast Master – Mike Judd, and before I knew it we were at the first dance and then then into the evening as the couple and their guests partied the night away.
I have photographed a lot of weddings over the years but this Rhinefield House wedding is one that I will remember for many years to come. It was stunning to the very core and I wish Annabelle and Jon a lifetime of happiness. Please enjoy the small collection of photographs documenting the story of this Rhinefield House wedding below.
