‘Batten down the hatches for this wet and windy Spitbank Fort wedding’
The weather for Claire and Paul’s Spitbank Fort wedding wasn’t great but it didn’t matter a bit as the guests enjoyed themselves immensely onboard one the UK most unique wedding venues.
Claire and Paul are a wonderful couple and are so clearly made for one another. They are very outgoing people which is evident as both are exceptionally talented and well respected in their chosen professions. Claire is a vibrant, happy person taking everything in her stride with Paul being exceptionally kind and caring. The perfect combination.
Rain is an unfortunate occurrence and when you envisage your wedding day at sea I can guarantee that it is not something that would be welcome. This wedding had rain and lots of it but it didn’t matter at all. Claire and Paul seemed to take everything that the rain threw at them and simply brush it off. They had an amazing day with their loved ones and celebrated becoming the new Mr and Mrs Birinder in tremendous fashion. They toasted marshmallows by the fire pit, drank oodles of alcohol and socialised in a truly beautiful setting. Their guests loved every minute and the smiles did not leave their faces. As you will see below we were fortunate to get a fair amount of the photographs outside in between the bouts of rain, but part of the beauty of this venue is the unique features inside and incorporating these into the photographs. The Union Jack photograph is a perfect example of this.
As a preferred wedding photographer for Spitbank Fort I am fortunate to have photographed there quite a few times and it is always a pleasure to work with the team there. They are tireless in their pursuit of the clients happiness and create a truly remarkable atmosphere. A wholehearted thank you to the team for making my job at Spitbank Fort all the more easier each time I work there.
Claire and Paul… You are two remarkably kind and caring people who I have had the privilege to get to know during this very special time. Your wedding was a joy to photograph and your story was so beautiful to document. I know the future will hold many amazing journeys for you but I am so pleased that I was able to be apart of this one.
